The Launch

I'm launching a new blog. The idea is not my own. One of Jeff's friends has a blog like this. She had a list of 101 things to accomplish in 1001 days. What better way to get myself out of this slump I'm in. It feels a little like I'm doing Personal Progress again or something....only this is a little more fun. I'd love for someone else to do this with me. I have a ton of motivation right now, but 1001 days is almost three years. I can easily see myself forgetting about it by then. So if some one else has a list, maybe we can keep each other motivated. If you don't write your own list, at least check the blog periodically.

Mom has been taking a class on behavior modification and we've been discussing lately what motivates us to change our behavior. We have both decided we're motivated by not wanting to embarrass ourselves...if I know someone is reading this blog, I am much more likely to follow through. I had considered keeping my list to myself. Posting my list illustrates my weaknesses and makes me feel a little vulnerable. But knowing that someone might read this motivates me to keep up with it. I don't want to be seen as the kind of person that doesn't accomplish my goals.

So please check it from time to time...and leave comments so I know you're checking it. But please don't leave a comment if you're going to make fun of me. Wish me luck!

Wow! I can't believe how quickly you got this from an idea to a blog to actually accomplishing. Way to go!

I've started and deleted my list more times than I can count. I'm in... I'll hopefully have a list by the end of the week. We're in this together.

I think it is a great idea. I'd love to say that I'd do it right now, but I'm just afraid I can't. But I love it and one day will have to do it. Good luck and I wish you the best.

Hi Katie,
I totally forgot when I left you that last comment to tell you what cute kids you have! They all look so much like you! And I see your brothers in them too! And your husband. Three! Wow! And you look great. I love the short hair on you! You haven't aged a bit either. =)

You are the popular girl of the day! You are your mother's daughter alright. Always looking for the best in yourself, and going for it! I wish you the best in your endeavors. I will quietly see if I should or could do it...

Okay... Parker's quote of telling Reid to hold still so he can hit him on the head is hilarious!

I think thats a great idea! Hey, just wondering... I've found everyone but Melissa and Natalie... does anyone know what they're up to?

I love that you're on the computer as much as me! So funny. I just read your post on Dr. and Dr. Smith. I totally agree with you. I just have my home based business out of my parents ouse, but it's nothing constant. I want to work part time just to "get away" and feel like I have my own life. I love being a wife and mom, but I too have little patience. I cab't imagine having 3 boys. We're trying for baby #2 now, and I just know it will be another boy. We'll see. I would love a girl, but my husband wants another boy.

Anyway, that's wierd about Natalie. That's too bad. I thought she would be the one to keep in touch with everyone! And I want Melissa to start a blog.. so if you read this Melissa, START ONE! I just did and I love it!

I'm so glad to be in touch with you again! It's awesome!

So I have been in Kentucky the past couple of weeks and will be here for another two. I am sad you guys are gone, it would have been so fun to come up and see you since I have a lot of time this trip.

Hi Katie-
Gotta tell you I love your new idea about the list! I actually was thinking of you when I did something on your list the other night. I called in to vote for my favorite American Idol!! ha ha! I've never done it and I got throught right away! So I voted for David Cook 3 times! Then the lines went busy! Thanks for the idea. I would totally make a list of my own except when I am pregnant I seem to have ADD! I can't focus on anything for too long. So I am afraid I would not follow through. Maybe later I will do it! Great idea though. Good luck!
PS- I HATE the pregnancy part as well. I am feeling better than I did at first (super nauseous) but now I am soo tired and lethargic which is so not me. And I have a super stong nose right now and I gag at everything. It's fun. But yes the reward at the end is well worth it. I just think two might be good for me! =)

Great Idea Katie! I love that blog too. I could never do anything like that right now in my life... maybe eventually. I hope that you get everything accomplished.
