I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeves...

Pet Peeve:

Image from GAP.

Dark shirts with white sleeves.

We have at least two navy blue shirts with white sleeves at our house. (And several white baseball T's with navy sleeves.)

How in the world am I supposed to keep these sleeves white?  Can't wash it with the whites.  And washing it with the darks turns white sleeves less-than white.

Advice?

(RubyAnn...are you reading this?  You're the queen of clean laundry.  I need help.)

Aagh! I have the same problem! Drives me crazy. I have one baseball shirt that is discolored now because I washed it with colors.

I always use Goop on Napalm's sleeves before I put it into the wash (it's an hand cleaner in a tub you can find in the automotive department). I love the stuff, it's an awesome stain remover and his sleeves have stayed white so far.

I so feel your pain!! I have to say that BIZ is my go to stain remover. If it were me, I would likely treat the stains with shout or something and then start the washer on hot water, add detergent and then a good scoop of BIZ. I do a load like this at night, and then when the tub is full, turn off the washer and let them soak over night. In the morning, finish the cycle. Sometimes I run through another short wash on cold, just to make sure all of the soap is out of the clothes. There have been very few stains in my home that have survived that method:) Good luck..laundry is just dumb! ha

I love those shirts but don't have any. I never thought about washing them and dealing with keeping the sleeves white. Let me know what you find out.
