K. G. K.

Kelly and Genny....It's your turn.

You're never gonna guess what I found in my box of pictures... this is gonna blow your mind!

I in NO WAY consider myself a pack rat. I have no problem getting rid of most sentimental things. But I have a box of old photographs and stuffed in this box is a pile of things that once hung on my bulletin board in my youth.

So thanks to this box and digging deep into junior high memories, I bring you...
...this lovely booklet made by two of my eighth grade besties.

Meet Kelly and Genny:
Whoops! And here I am blasting it across the world wide web. Tell me the truth, if you're not Kelly or Genny, are you jealous? (I did keep a few of the super secret pages to myself.)

Wait. We were anti-OPF? (Ontario Park Force) I thought we were part of this? Didn't we attempt to carve our names in a tree there?

This is getting really embarrassing... and yet I go on. What's worse is that there are a few indicators in this book to make me think it was written our freshman year of high school, NOT eighth grade.

Hmmm. I don't remember seeing Clueless. But I DO remember walking out of Bushwacked. Kelly fell in the dark isle. All Genny and I did was laugh. Can't picture it? You don't have to. There was an illustration of this event in the book.

Now can you picture it?

And to top it all off, they wrote me a song. I can actually still kinda hear the tune in my head.

It's been so fun getting re-acquainted with these cute girls through the blogging world. Not only are they even cuter now, but they have cute families to match.

Oh my gosh Katie! I can't believe you even still have those things. So funny! Kelly called me saying you have to look at Katie's blog RIGHT NOW. I had forgotten about a lot of this, but it's all coming back to me now. I remember Kelly falling in the theater, and I remember that day at Knott's like it was yesterday.

We had some good times! KGK! We can still have that little club. I wonder who is jealous eh?

Thanks for the laugh this morning. :)

What fun memories. I swear I have some of the same type of stuff somewhere in a box at my mom's. I'll have to go through it someday.

Oh my goodness...that is so funny! I can remember seeing all sorts of things like this on Gennifer's bulletin board at home. I love that you had such fun as kids, and I love it even more that you have all been able to reconnect through blogging even though you live far away Katie. Love this post!

Me again,

Hi Katie. Just had to tell you, I showed this post to Jake and he laughed, and then he set the last picture of the three of us to our desktop! I was cracking up.

I was also trying to remember, was KGK for Kelly Genny Katie,
or Katie Genny Kelly? ;)

To tell you the truth this is how I still picture you three. I remember you all being the life of the party and we loved having each one of you in our home. I love that I can spy on all three of you and yes, you have all grown up to be lovely women, mothers and wives. Along with the rest of the group. Melissa, Traci, Jeanine, Natalie, and my beautiful Jessica. Thanks for the laughs Katie!!
