Can I get a napkin please?

Has anyone seen this? I laughed myself to tears. How many time do you watch a musical and think no one really breaks into song anywhere. I've always thought it would be fun to spontaneously break into song in a public place. I LOVED THIS! It came from a group called Improv Everywhere. Fantastic. They have all kinds of fun videos on their site. I need to sign myself up to be a part of this group.

This reminds me of a time before heavy airport security when you didn't need a plane ticket to get to a gate. We would fake reunions and crazy things when in fact no one was even on a plane. Mike and Brittnee...Do you remember going to the Phoenix airport in costume one time? And Zac...do you remember an episode we staged in front of the Ontario Mills food court? It was no musical, but we had fun.

This was a bright spot in my day, so I thought I should share.

This is hilarious! Yeah, we always say that no one ever breaks out into song spontaneously like they do on Musicals. Now you see why. Did you see the looks they were getting. Hey, even when I broke into song at home, you kids would always give me "the look."

Awesome!!! Do you ever break out into musical when you are making lunch for your boys? I do it all te time, Ryan goes, "Stop stinging Lisa!" and I just keep on doing it, or sometime I use accents, like russian or british, or texan:) I think I go a little crazy over the monotinty and this is my way of making a penut butter and jelly snadwhich for the 10000 time fun.... :)

YES I've seen it on another friends blog. Oh how I'd LOVE to be a part of that troupe. My sister lived in NYC I think they're base there) and said she also wanted to do it. I would LOVE to put people in situations where they're terribly embarrased. Oh the joy. I admit I haven't read your post yet just saw the front of the video. In case you didn't know, they have many others too.

Oh my gosh. Talk about regrets. This might sound strange to some people but I think you might just get it. I just read the post (kind of backward, huh?) Katie I've always wanted to do stuff like that at the airport. Almost every time I go I play out something in my mind. I have a whole long mental list of fun scripts (I think my sister and I did it once, acting like we knew someone and we didn't. I can't remember if it actually happened or if I just imagined it so well it feels like it did.) Here's the crazy part. NO LIE. I figured now would be a great stage of life to fulfill this ongoing need to act out since we live so close to the airport. A few different times I considered calling you to see if you'd play along because I had a hunch you'd go for it. Darn!!!!!

I love the use of food trays. Well, you need to come hang with me in public. I dance and sing along to music all the time. I have even gotten the kids to join in. It does embarass Paul a lot, but hey he knew what he was in for. I just wish I had done an airport thing-that sounds like fun!

This is HILARIOUS! I love it! I would crack up if I saw this at the mall. I think it would bring a lot of fun and smiles to someone's day... and they still got looks as if they were crazy. Weird!

Katie, that video made me laugh out loud!! I immediately called my parents and told them to watch it too! It was so funny! I love musicals too, and I would love if that happened when I was present! What a hoot it would be. I also loved at the end of the video when they pointed out how the "janitor" was still sweeping. TOO FUNNY! Thanks for sharing!

My kids and I just got our morning laugh and Leah said "play it again!" I didn't expect it to be that funny, but it was very hilarious! I would've been the weird faced lady in the audience and I loved the janitor's lines the most! I am not into improv myself, but I love comedy and going to comedy places! Dana and I have been to the funny bone a few times here, but sometimes you get vulgar comics, you never know...but this troupe was great!
