He's The Number One

Spencer's been hounding me to post pictures from our Day Out With Thomas a few weeks ago. Just for that, I'm including some pictures of him, which he is never happy about.

While I'm not a big fan of Thomas, I'm a huge fan of delighting my children. The real Thomas the tank engine took a trip to Texas and we went to see him. Nothing could be more exciting to a couple of little Thomas freaks. My kids, especially Reid, love Thomas...like most little boys. Besides the 25 minute over-priced train ride, the rest of the Thomas festivities were free...Thomas tattoos, two astro jumps, live music, Sir Topem Hat, arts and crafts, and a miniature model of the Island of Sodor complete with running trains.

So here's our day in pictures. And in typical Katie fashion, I have an overabundance of them.

Parker was so proud of his little tattoo...he refused to wash that hand. And when holding his hand, he had to make sure it was his un-tattooed hand. Reid was a little bit afraid of the tattoo artist. Finally, Spencer had to do it

Forget Thomas, the astro jump was Parker's favorite part of the day.

Sir Topem Hat was a little creepy.

The train ride...even Gray got in on this one.

Mr. Conductor came to visit us on the train ride. He was a darling old man who danced to the Thomas music and shook every one's hands. Gray was fascinated by him.

Train pictures. Spencer's so proud.

Gray rarely gets out of the stroller, but I always feel a need to include him in the pictures....hence the faces of Gray.

Park and Reid.

Looks like you had a blast! Thomas has come through Oklahoma City before. One of the dad's I know said he just takes his girls to see Thomas and then they take a train ride another day... since it's the exact same train. I thought that was pretty smart. Glad you guys had a fun time!

ps. And I'm with you... Thomas is pretty boring. I don't know why kids like him so much.

How fun... Thomas has come to Colorado too. But I have never had the need to go. From the sound of it, I hope that J doesnt get too into him. But what can you do, right?

Looks like fun!!! My boys were never really into Thomas -- maybe they were too old by the time we dicovered him.

Your husband and my husband would probably be friends... Gene came home from work on Emma's birthday and wanted to know why I hadn't posted anything about her birthday and then after we put her to bed he came and asked me to post the pictures. And he hates his pics to be on our blog. Your boys look like they had such a good time.
