Oops! I Did It Again...

Seriously. I fell while jogging this morning. That's the second time in four months. Could I be any more clumsy? I tripped on the uneven sidewalk....again. And again, my dog sped up and I couldn't regain my balance before eating sidewalk.

Only last time, it was during pants season. That means two things...One, I was wearing pants when I fell and they somewhat protected my legs. Two, I could wear pants during the day to cover my embarrassing scabs. This time it's shorts weather. That means two things...One, I was wearing shorts...the same shorts that were once pants but I cut them off because I fell in them and ripped holes in the knees four months ago. My scabs are worse this time. And two, I wear shorts during the day and my nasty scabs are exposed.

Jeff always posts pictures of his injuries so I'm following suit. Only he always bloodies himself up by doing something cool like long boarding. I wish my bloody knees came from long boarding. That would make me the coolest mom on the block. Does that not make me look like I'm six again?

OWIE! Did you at least get Boo-Boo kisses from someone. Okay as far as the shorts weather is concerned, capris longer than the knee could help. Or go super cute and wear shorts and leggings. I am sorry you have owie knees. Mommy kisses from me to them.

ouch. Here's another downside of scabs-because I too have stupid clumsy moments-too often. You can't shave them!! Which makes for strange bloody patches with pokey hairs....hmm. Massive bandaids for church? Funny, we're a long way from shorts weather here.

Hey at least you are out there exercising! You get points for that even if you do get hurt. Of course I can't claim to be very graceful myself. I have been known to trip myself while walking up the stairs in our house.

OUCH! Poor Katie! But you get huge points for being out there jogging... I need to get my rear in gear.

I think you need to stop wearing those pants/shorts. Or just stop jogging. :) And yes your road rash makes your legs look like you are six, that is better than 60!!

Gross!!! How am I ever going to take care of my kids when they are bleeding when just seeing your scraped up knees makes my stomach churn. So sorry that must hurt. Don't you just hate bruises and cuts during the warm season especially at church I somehow feel like everyone is starring at me when I have a visible cut or bruise when I am at church.

Ouch! I would stay away from those pants/shorts- they seem to bring bad luck! Like the new blog look- it's cute!

The same thing happened to me a while back. I tripped and would have been able to save myself if I wasn't with the dog. I went down and slammed my face into some dirt. When I got home a looked at myself, I was surprised to see how old I was...all of the dirt was in the cracks of my face. I had never realized how many wrinkles I had. It was a very solemn occasion.

Hey shorts is the great thing about it! you've got battle wounds, and you can make up a super story to go with it! like, 'there was a poor child in the middle of the street and i saved his life just in the nick of time!' or, 'i did a super cool dance move involving sliding on my knees playing an air guitar to an AC/DC song' or, 'i was suddenly overcome with the urge to kneel and pray... while running. can't resist the spirit!'
