Hell Week

I'm talking about finals week.

As hard as finals week was when I was going through it myself,  I think it's even harder when Spencer goes through it. And by harder, I mean harder on me.  I'm selfish like that.

I'm not sure if I really need to refer to it as finals week.  He doesn't have any professors giving actual tests.  It's all about the papers.  And papers when you're getting your PhD in philosophy are not a walk in the park.  Spencer has been on campus until 10 or 11 every night only to come home and work on the computer until 2 or 3 in the morning.

I'm exhausted (because I'm selfish like that). And I kinda miss Spence.

It's all over tomorrow (though he still won't be home for bedtime).  If I'm this worn out from the past week and a half, I can't imagine how tired Spence must be.  He has a break on Thursday.  Then the poor guy has a scout camp out to be at on Friday night.

Next week we have one blissful class-less week before spring quarter begins.

Sheesh! I feel bad for both of you! I'm sure I would be selfish like that too! You are amazing to support a husband through school (and take care of crazy boys AND have some pretty huge callings) for so many years!

Oh man. That does sound like hell week.
You sound like me when Jake works the night shift. Everyone in the pharmacy has to take turns every few months and the shift is 7pm-7am. I hate it. I say it's worse for me than it is him (also because I'm selfish like that).

Hang in there. Hope hell week ends soon for you! (and Spencer) :)

you are wonderwoman!!! Cameron works three days in a row every week and we only see him for 1/2 an hour on those days...by the third day i am satan towards my children. For some reason, I feel like you still have it all together, because you are cool like that.

Oh wow!! Super hard times now, but it will pay off big time. Hang in there.

Ugh. I know how that is! It's rough! When Jake goes out of town (more often than I'd like) It's a one-woman show and it's exhausting. I think it's even harder though when they're home for little bits of time instead of just gone. You tend to depend on them even though they won't be there to help. It's brutal. Good luck. Just keep dreaming of when it will all be over. ;)
BTW, thanks for the super-sweet comments on my blog!

I am so sorry. When Nate has finals week, I swear, I gain 10 pounds, and I never sleep (because he isn't there, he's at the library). I think that it is harder on the wife for sure. Yeah for tomorrow and yeah for next week!!!!

Bring on spring quarter! I have to say I'm really glad to not have more than one child plus a husband in grad school. I'm sure it will pay off in the long run but thinking about it--AHHHHHHHH.

Tell him to type a paragraph of 'yada, yada's every fourth paragraph and see if anyone grading them notices. (Not that his writing is on the level of 'yada yada' but I just don't believe that philosophy professors read every word...do you?
