Snow Day of Epic Proportions

We took today's snow day and ran with it. Wind chills of negative ten had me convinced we needed to stay indoors.

I knew as soon as I heard school was canceled that I was going to talk the crazies into making movies. But it wasn't until some time after breakfast that I had the brilliant idea to make Lego movies. That cut down on the mess and craziness. Not to mention how easy the set was to construct.

Come to find out, Lego men are much more camera shy than little boys. It was basically me recording the kids playing Lego's. Luckily, Reid was leaning on the card table that we used for our set and the whole thing collapsed. I busted a gut. (Don't worry, he's fine.) If it wasn't for that, the whole thing would have been boring (much like the real Star Wars).

Thanks Reid. You win for best leading actor.

And now, I present to you, my superior cinematography skills in Lego Star Wars as interpreted by the Smith brothers:

You deserve Mom of the year Katie.
That was clever.
So creative.

I think you have mad cinematography skills.
Let me know if you need me for the next movie, I am available for hair and make up. ;)

You are amazing! I never would have thought to do something like that! I need to remember it for the future.

ps. We have so many of the same legos...

I can't believe you disrespected Star Wars. All of the answers to the universe can be found in the words of Yoda and Obi Wan and THAT is not boring... (very cool movie btw)

Putting music to playing with legos makes all the difference in the world. Made me almost want to have a lego snow day.

WOW! That's awesome! You're kids will remember this snow day when they're 80!
The only down side?...
After I read your post, I called Brian in to watch the movie with me and now I'm getting a Star Wars lecture. I guess he thinks I'm typing and listening.
He,he,he!
Love, Jenn

I can't wait until they all hit the Star TREK stage. I can just see you breaking out the Clingon make-up. You're the coolest mom ever. When I grow up I want to be you.

We have done the photography for a still photo lego movie but haven't figured how to get the software to turn in to a movie.
