The Year of the Tiger

(The animal, not the golfer...obviously.)

My cliche New Years line: I can't believe it's been a whole decade since the turn of the century, Y2K, end of the world, yada, yada, yada. I feel the same as everyone else who has already blogged about this.

Apparently 2010 has not brought me anything exciting to blog about.

We rang in the new year with our good friends and had more fun than I thought possible.

It's only January 6th and already, I've had enough cold and snow. My appreciation for winter weather is severely limited...basically to Christmas day only. (And we didn't have it for Christmas by the way.)

If I don't get my snow shoveled before I take Parker to school, my kind, elderly neighbor beats me to it. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I finally got a coat. I like it. I like, like it...like more than a friend. OK, I LOVE it. Is it possible to be in love with a coat? I say yes.

I'm itching to keep going with all the house painting. I think winter is doing that to me. When it's so drab outside, I certainly need something a little more lively indoors.

Uncle Mike got the crazies a couple movies for Christmas. And while I appreciate him introducing us to Phineas and Ferb (it really is pretty funny), I'm irritated that he can pick better movies for my kids than I can. They have no interest in the movie I got them and beg to watch this all day everyday. Even Gray can sing along to the theme song.

And speaking of Gray, he's learned to jump. Like a legitimate both-feet-off-the-ground jump. It's cute.

I have nothing more to report.

Signing off.

Yep..new coat pics requested as well as an understanding of your Phineas and Ferb situation. My kids (and husband honestly) love that show! Its slightly annoying, yet appreciated because every aged child will sit and watch it. The theme song swirls in my head almost daily...very hard to shake that one. But, I guess its better than Dora:) Glad to hear you are off to a good new year! Miss ya'!!

As always Katie, you make me smile!
I like Phineas and Ferb too. Probably more than my grandkids...is that normal?

I know what you mean about the cold its below freezing in Omaha. I use to watch Phineas and Ferb almost everyday with my Nephews when we were still in Utah. We all loved singing the theme song together. Its good stuff. It sure sound like the coat needs to be posted in the next blog. Happy New Year.

I laughed at your post title. "year of the tiger" ... not tiger woods. i would hope not. Let's not give that man any more attention eh?

And your new coat? Yes it's ok to LOVE a coat. And I want to see it. A pic of you in the coat please...

I just rocked my first pair of skinny jeans to work today. Swore I would not buy into that trend, and wouldn't you know, I LOVE them.

I love phineas and ferb!!! I think its just a rule that kids like things better from someone other than their parents. I know that's how it always works with Emma especially when it comes to toys.

I love the coat.
Phineas and Ferb is a hit around here too. Lucy walks saying "ewwww your gonna be soooooo busted!" all day. Little does she know it's usually her that's busted.

I want to check the movie. Speaking of show recommendations, I watched a few episodes of PUshing Daises @ my parents. I LOVED IT!!!! I am going to see if the library has it.

Funny about the old neighbor. The other day it was snowing like crazy and all of our older neighbors were shoveling while I told Jake "maybe we should be shoveling like all of the other good citizens of the neighborhood." My neighbor beats us to it and always does our sidewalk. We're losers.
