My dad, your grampa, would freak out if he saw the stores already decked out for Christmas since September. He was passionate about retail and loved a good promotion but Christmas was special BECAUSE he didn't decorate until the day after Thanksgiving.
I saw Christmas stuff in August this year! Horrible!! I love Christmas, of course, and by far my fav holiday, but 5 months in advance is a bit much!! I can't even bring myself to buy decorations until the day after Thanksgiving. I have started shopping, but not for Christmas things for decorations. Toys, well, that is just life!
Apparently you've forgotten that your father used to turn on the Christmas music when you got home from trick or treating. He loved Christmas time..the earlier the better.
Ha..that is funny! I think I would have liked your dad for sure! I dont put up the decorations, but the Christmas music starts the minute I know Halloween is over, and there is the tiniest hint of a chill in the air! I think the music is great, and puts everyone in a cheery mood..OK..only if it is good music, not Brittney Spears does Christmas!
Wow. Who knew everyone was so passionate about this? We don't do the Christmas thing until after Thanksgiving, but I feel fine seeing Christmas stuff out whenever. Janay puts up the tree the day after Halloween!!
Amen indeed! My hubby put up Christmas lights before Thanksgiving this year to avoid the snowy roof that was about to come. He wanted them plugged in since he worked so hard but I sneaking out and unplugging them... until the day after Thanksgiving of course... :)

That's great! I totally agree, I just wish Christmas lasted more like 2 months instead of 1.

Totally with you on this Katie. I HATE, HATE, HATE to hear xmas music, and see the stuff, anytime before Thanksgiving is over.

I have always LOVED this about Nordstom...it is already one of my favorite stores. This makes me love them just a little more :)
I agree
That Nordstrom, they always do it right. Nordstrom is my happy place. :)
I absolutely agree. We are having Thanksgiving at my house this year and I just can't have the holiday dinner with the wrong holiday decor out.
I would never have seen that if you hadn't posted (im not a nordstom lover!) but, im loving them now!
I also saw Christmas in August. UNreal. I just can't take it seriously. Go Nordstrom.

I agree, a big AMEN to that!!!!
I agree about the decorations... but we've already started listening to Christmas music :)
It is nice to see a big company actually recogonize the holidays. I would love to show them my support, but it is still out of my wallet range!
Awesome! Love it! :)

I agree with Nordstrom, and always have. But for some reason this year I'm feeling the itch to decorate now.
Amen! I totally agree!
