Can you tell me how to get...

...how to get to Sesame Street?

Did you know that Sesame Street is celebrating 40 YEARS in a few weeks? It's been around since 1969. It's the longest running children's show ever. It was the first of it's kind on SO MANY levels. I can't imagine how many people have been influenced by Sesame Street in one way or another. It's a part of our culture.

What's even more crazy...Bob has been on Sesame Street since it premiered 40 years ago.

I hadn't watched Sesame Street in quite some time. We kinda had a no TV during the day schedule for a while. But with Park at school all day and just an all around different routine, I sometimes let my younger two turn on Sesame Street before lunch and naps. I think it's fantastic. Don't hate me. I just like Sesame Street. I think there is some smart humor mixed in with all the educational aspects. I love that they spoof prime time television shows on a child's level. And they have the best celebrity guest spots. I find Sesame Street current and educational and entertaining.

And for today's flashback...

Here's to 40 more years!

I love Sesame Street. It's one of those kids shows that parents can enjoy too. I remember them doing a take on Let it Be by singing "Letter B".

Now I have no reason to watch Sesame Street. Bummer.

I don't know why but I never turn it on for my kids. I don't think they even know sesame street. Cute idea for a flashback!

Wow, 40 years! That's crazy. I like it too. Hannah loves it. And you're right, they do some great spoofs and I love the humor and the celebrity guests too. A couple weeks ago I saw Faith Hill, Feist, and Sandra Oh on it. It's a great show.

I love Sesame Street...I actually did not watch it a lot, but definitely love the characters! I am definitely planning on passing it on to Lizzie when she gets older

Sesame Street is great. I love their musical guests doing spoofs of their own songs.. that might be my favorite. William thinks it's hilarious when Jack Black is on. Gordon and Bob and Maria have been on FOREVER. It'll be sad when their gone.

We LOVE Seasame Street! Those flashbacks, are some of my favorites. I crack up every time the "Special Lettters Unit" comes on and my girls love "Preschool Musical."

I've actually hardly seen an episode of Sesame Street. My mom wasn't into it because she thought Oscar the Grouch was a bad influence. Isn't that hilarious!!? He does say mean things like, "scram". And now we don't have TV so I'm missing out big-time.

Love Sesame Street! In fact Ashley and I laughed through Sacrament yesterday because Kayley was eating the bread as if she were cookie monster! Hillarious! Oh so be young and have a reason to sneak it in...
