I wanna run through the halls of my high school...

I've been meaning to do a high school graduation flashback for like a year now. I'm finally getting to it though graduation season is long since over. But I couldn't let the summer pass by without it. It has been TEN YEARS now after all.

The look on my face in just about every picture is one of out of control excitement. You'd think I had just won a Nobel Prize. It was just high school...like I wasn't going to graduate.

Plus I'm not sure if I've ever posted pictures from this brief period of life that I decided a perm on short hair was a good idea. Big mistake, as you can imagine. I had just seen City of Angels with Meg Ryan. And I've mentioned before how I idolized her hair for quite sometime. I couldn't pull it off. Not even close. My hair looked exceptionally hideous that night. I'll blame it on the graduation cap. Yeah, that's it.

Graduation was held on a week night on our football field. Then the whole graduating class hopped on some buses and we spent the entire night at Disneyland...open through the night only to graduating seniors. We got back on the bus at like seven the following morning. Oh man... good times.

I was such an Aquabat fan and they were playing in Tomorrow Land that night. I still have some old cd's that my kids love.

Waiting in line for Honey I Shrunk The Audience. I've always loved this picture.

I seriously LOVED high school. Really and truly loved it. Make fun of me all you wish. I can't remember ever being quite as uninhibited as I was then. I really enjoyed life and savored every part of the whole high school experience.

My reunion is coming up in October and it KILLS me that I won't be going. Seriously almost to the point of tears. Every time I get more info on it in the mail I have to check plane tickets like I'm somehow going to find a miraculous $70 flight or something. No luck...so far. I hear ten year reunions are a big disappointment, but I want the experience. Maybe I'm hoping to relive high school for a night. It was, after all, the last time I was popular. I'd love to see old friends that I've lost touch with. All I know is that I'm going to be disappointing a lot of people by not showing up. (joke.)

I want to know who's going? Anybody? Please tell me you're not...it'll be easier for me not to go if my closest friends aren't.

Fun flashback post today. I'm not going to my reunion. It actually falls on Hannah's bday in November. I have debated going, but I'm torn. High School definitely had it's fun moments for me, but has so far not been the best time of my life.

(PS- A clip from when I was on homecoming court escorted by my Dad was on that TV show "Dance Your Ass Off" recently! One of the contestants on the show won Homecoming Queen and is now on this weight loss reality show. They showed a clip from her receiving her crown and my Dad and I were standing right beside her! My fifteen seconds of fame.

Girls, Everyone HAS to go to at least one of their high school reunions! My 5 yr. was on a boat in Newport Beach. I had just had Erika, and was breastfeeding, and my mild FLOWED all night long...ugh!
My 10 yr. was in Irvine at a hotel, we went, but I had just miscarried Drew's twin, and I could not dance, or do anything. Greg's parents came and stayed with the girls at the hotel, and that was good! But it was a disappointment. My 20 was a blast! JUST the ladies met for dinner the night before..no hubbies!! So much fun. Haven't been to one since. I see who I wan't to see, always have. But you have to go to at least one...it should be a rule!!
PS My 30th just took place. CAN I BE THAT OLD?????

I planned on going to my 10 year but Cindy got married that weekend so I had to cancel. My 20 year was fun but 1 hour with all of those friends was enough...I'm over it!

Very fun post. I, too, loved high school. Maybe not so much then, but when I look back, man it was fun!

I've been meaning to ask everybody if they're going to our reunion. I have no interest in going. I think because everyone I care about I already am in contact with anyway. But I'm sorry that you won't be going and want to so bad. Maybe, just maybe you'll find thatcheap plane ticket.

I agree with Traci! I'm not going either, too expensive and everyone is on Facebook anyways.. :)

You should just come to cali and visit old friends and we could go to DISNEYLAND. That would be way more fun.

What do you mean it was the last time you were popular?!?! I can't imagine a time when you wouldn't have been. You have been as long as I have known you! :) I think it is cool that you liked high school. I absolutely positively hated it. It was miserable to me- but there are specific reasons. And it is true, you will probably not be missing much by not being at your reunion.

I wasn't able to make it to my 10 year cuz we had just moved to TX so I feel your pain.
I always knew you were cool but when I saw the pics of the aquabats your awesomeness just went wayyy up!!
I love them!!!

I might have gone but recently decided it's not worth it. $90 to see everyone get drunk? No thanks. Plus, I've pretty much kept in touch with everyone.
Traci... plan a reunion!!! I'd try to go to that!

Those are some of the happiest graduation pictures I've ever seen! And I did love it that that song worked for my class year! That was really fun...

Paul and I aren't going! We should plan one-love the idea Traci! WE did one with the Cenntenial gang 2 yrs. ago at a park and it was so much fun!

Love the grad pics, I only have 2 that turned out from 3 rolls of film and they are both with Paul-so it is good I married him!!

I'm with Kelly...everyone I care about I keep in contact with. (Except Kyle Lane...where are you Kyle?) Maybe at 20 I'll want to go, but definitely not now. It will totally just be a drunken gossip night. I've run in to quite a few people from high school since living here and it's nice to say hi and bye! :)
