I met a man in Rome...

...and he's handsome and brilliant and we're getting married.

All those who guessed my movie quote was from Father of the Bride (part 1), you are correct. That is the only movie ALWAYS at the top of my favorite movie list. I never tire of it. And I cry almost every time I watch it. I think there is something about George Banks that reminds every girl (in some small way) of her own father.

I give it two thumbs up. Way up.

I missed the quote- sorry, but I too love that movie!! I love when she comes down the stairs= I have always wanted a house with a big staircase- I could envision myself parading down it like she did- but I never had one- now I look for houses with them. My sister-in-law in NC has one in her new house and just had a girl, so I am way jealous!!

I very much agree that this is the classic of classic movies!! I love it! We always quote the party pooper song from the 2nd one and of course it's my name that's always said.

So true, that every girl just about feels George Banks reminds them of their own father. I love when they are playing basketball in the beginning and she is in her little black dress and tennis shoes! Great movie!

Oh I love it! When I got engaged I bought it and sent it to my family.
ps. Have you seen the older version? My family always watched the older versions and then the new remakes. I like the new one though.

When I read the quote, I knew I knew it, but couldn't think of it. Now I am like "duh...." That is also one of my favorites. I could watch it over and over and over..... Awesome! :)

I'm with you, I love that movie! And I will admit that I cry every time I watch it. Probably not the best movie for a prego hormonal me to be watching now. I can picture me finishing watching it and Bryce walking in to find me a lake of tears and blathering that I don't want Kayla to get married. He would probably ban me from watching chick flicks ever again! Aww but it's such a good movie! I even love Father of the Bride part 2.
Thanks for all of your comments on my blog. Don't sweat it that we didn't get a chance to meet up when you were here. Family comes first. We'll just have to plan a time to come and visit you guys in Texas. :)
