Costumes by Katie

I just couldn't wait to post these pictures. We went for the classic Halloween costumes...Frankenstein, a mummy, a spider, a witch and a vampire. The boys and my costumes are designed and constructed by yours truly. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out...which is why I included so many pictures. So you can see the costumes from every angle. Several pictures are blurry. Especially the one of our family. Trying to get three kids (and two parents holding them) still for a picture is impossible. Those kids had so much fun at the ward party, they wouldn't hold still for anything. And the pictures of Gray don't look much like him, but they are the only ones I had and I needed to get the full effect of his costume. The boys didn't win any awards for their costume. I think the voting was fixed. Regardless, they had a great time.

Katie, you are SO creative, I love them all...except the blurry picture taken by (ahem, me...) I'm so sorry! I should have looked at it...duh. The costumes are still cute-obviously.

Seriously, Dana and I said that the voting was rigged! I said did you see the Smith's? And he was like, yeah, why didn't they win, they all looked great! I didn't even know the Whitacres (except Erin) were even dressed up- all they had on were beanie hats! You were robbed! They looked great!!

Your costumes are Awesome! You are so talented Katie! Your family is lucky to have such a great seamstress! My kids will probably end up with store bought costumes their whole childhood cuz I can only sew buttons onto shirts.

GOOD JOB. They turned out great! I love the way you did the fabric on Reid's mummy. Parker's looks good and the make up and black hair really finishes it off. I don't know how you did Grayden's...I hate sewing on that fabric. Even you and Spencer look like you're having fun.

Jeff and I were talking this afternoon about Halloween because he's putting a costume together for a party tonight. I told him that I'd rather do just about anything than put on a costume and leave the house. Kudos to you!

Katie...those costumes were so lame, couldnt you find something creative to do for Halloween? Just kidding... you always amaze me. I can't even seem to find time to finish sewing a quilt I started 8 months ago, and I only have one child!!! You always seems to add a "katie" touch to every thing you do.. and I love it!!

Katie- You are so talented and so creative. Your family looks so good in all of the costumes. I didn't realize that you guys had such a tragic halloween last year, I am sorry. It does make for a good story, but I am glad that Reid is alright.

Katie you are amazing. Not only did you make three great costumes for the boys but you and Spencer dressed up as well just a few weeks after having a baby. I am so glad there are people like you who like Halloween. I just can't seem to get into it. Which is evidence in this is the first year we are even taking Jenna Trick-or-Treating.
