Day 22 already? Woohoo! We're a fourth of the way through!
Today I got out of the shower to find this:
Along with dirty foot prints all over my rug and a naked 2 year old who had recently marked his territory behind the yellow chair.
I used to let the crazies watch tv while I showered just for my own peace of mind. They are pretty good at being lazy in front of the television when they have the chance. But this summer, silly me, I instilled a rule limiting tv time and now they're really selective about which shows they watch. It rarely works out for me to shower while they're sitting still.
But, my day got better. I have a friend with a pool...which is a rarity around these parts. We spent a good few hours in the water and it was heaven!

I am with you on the limited TV this summer, and yeah, it totally puts a kink in shower time!! Glad you had a pool to cool off--I am sure you needed it!!
You're already at day 22?? Wow! Time flies when you're having fun.

I think Gray and Boston could cause a lot of trouble together.
Good luck!
Oh no!
LOL. How come pools are a rarity there? Short season?
Oh Katie. Those boys. I'm glad your day got better.
ALso, I love your take on summer (as a mom). It seems that all around blog land everyone is soo happy it's summer and that their kids are home from school. And then there's me, who thinks, when my kids are both in school full time, I think I will hate summer. Well maybe not the first two weeks, but after that, for sure.
AND Claire is throwing macaroni n cheese on the floor as I type this! Gotta go!!
Limited TV time makes sense, but it would also work to say they can watch while you shower, and then only their limited time. Probably worth the extra 20-30 min to prevent a mess clean up afterward. :) Those boys know how to have fun!!
Your plant it was doing so well, hope it didn't die. Hey at least your dog didn't mark his territory.
What I want to know is why no one has commented yet on you're absolutely fantastic zebra rug!? Or maybe I missed a post the day you got it...hmmm. Anyway, I love it, dirt and all. One of my favorite quotes is one where Sis. Nelson (Elder Nelson's wife) said she couldn't decide if she should clean off or varnish over her grandchildren's fingerprints. Oh the day...wouldn't you agree? And I also love your post about grocery shopping. I wish we could babysit for one another if only for that. Love you!
